Leaders

This journey is under the experienced leadership of Lynne McNaughton and Gerald Hobbs.

Lynne McNaughtonThe Rev. Dr. Lynne E. McNaughton is an Anglican priest. After 13 years teaching Christian Spirituality and Anglican Formation at Vancouver School of Theology, she currently serves the parish of St. Clement in North Vancouver (www.stclementschurch.ca).

Gerald HobbsThe Rev. Dr. R. Gerald Hobbs is a United Church minister, Professor Emeritus of Church History and Music at Vancouver School of Theology, and minister of music at University Hill congregation.

As co-directors of the Peregrinatio programme, Lynne and Gerald have been leading pilgrimages together in Britain, Continental Europe and Ireland since 1997. At VST they team-teach courses on the Psalms, hymnody and the History of Spirituality. They also offer workshops in congregational and conference settings, as well as in First Nation communities.

Both instructors are specialists in adult experiential education and faith formation.

Special Guest Instructor in 2012

The Rev. Dr. Roberta Clare is joining us on behalf of the Elders Institute. She holds a doctorate in Education and Religion (Ed.D) from Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary, New York City. A graduate of Knox College, Toronto (Master of Divinity) and Union Theological Seminary (Master of Sacred Theology). Roberta has served as a ruling elder, minister, university chaplain, high school teacher and university instructor.
