Travel Arrangements

Because many participants will want to do additional travel before and/or after the Programme, we are leaving travel arrangements to participants’ own choice.

Arrival and Departure

When should I arrive?”
You should plan to arrive on the first day of the tour, which means leaving North America the day before.  The program will begin in the late afternoon on the first day.
“What time on the last day does the program end?”
The last day is the day of departure.  The program will finish on the evening before.

Cancellations and Insurance

Cancellations
The deposit of $300 is non-refundable from date paid. For cancellations received before 60 days ahead, any refund is subject to the amount actually recovered from the suppliers less a service charge. There will be no refund within 60 days prior to the tour. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
Comprehensive Insurance
You should arrange for a comprehensive insurance package through your travel agent.

Difficulty walking?

Our programmes involve considerable walking at every site, sometimes on uneven ground. If participants are doubtful of their ability to walk any distances, they should speak with the organizers before making a commitment.

Course Credit

Participants wishing to use the programmes for course credit (including transfer credit) through Vancouver School of Theology, should enquire through Lynne (lynne@mcnaughton.org) or Gerald (rgh@vst.edu).

What if I’m not religious?

There is no religious criteria. People from many denominations have enjoyed Pilgrimages, and those with no faith community. Spiritual and Christian history and practices will be explored, and all are welcome.

Do I need to sing?

Many participants enjoy the singing on our tours. Everyone gets a song book with material picked especially for that tour. But not everyone sings, and that is OK.

Single – Sharing or Supplement?

Most rooms are based on double occupancy, but we strive to accommodate single travellers. As you wish, we will try to match you with a roommate or as a single (with a modest supplement charge).
