Pilgrims from the Ireland 2008 journey will remember Roy Anderson of Vancouver. Roy is dealing with cancer, and after a series of radiation treatments, had some time with Diane and family catching some sun and warmth in Mexico. Roy underwent long and extensive surgery in the week after Easter. Word is that the operation was a success. He and Diane will both appreciate your continuing prayers.
Jill Sladen, who was with us in Ireland together with husband Joe and his sister Kathleen, passed away last Sunday. Her service was held at St. Mary’s, Kerrisdale, in Vancouver at 2:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 11. We keep Joe, Kathleen and their families in our prayers.
Pilgrimage as a Spiritual Practice
On Thursday February 11 Gerald Hobbs and Lynne McNaughton led an evening on Pilgrimage at All Saints Anglican Church, Westboro in Ottawa. Former Vancouverites the Revs. Graham and Mavis Brownlee, now living in Shawville, Quebec, where Mavis is rector of the Anglican parish, helped organize the evening, and came with some parishioners for the event.
